The contest is open to all participants regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. Board members and employees of Cullinan Park Conservancy are not eligible to enter.

Age Categories

(1) Adult – 19 & older
(2) Youth – 18 & younger

To encourage young photographers to enter, there is a separate Youth Category for anyone 18 years of age and under. The same rules apply. Parents may submit entries for children. Youth entrants must include their age in the submission.

What to Enter

The contest seeks to expand public awareness of Joseph S. and Lucie H. Cullinan Park. The Cullinan Park Conservancy is looking for striking digital images of nature highlighting the richness, beauty, and diversity of Cullinan Park. All photos must be taken of subjects within the park boundaries. Note: Hodge’s Bend Cemetery is not within park boundaries. The photos do not necessarily need to have been taken this year or during the entry period.

Photo Categories

A category must be selected when submitting an entry to the Photo Contest. Entries will be considered from the following categories:

  1. Birds
  2. Wildlife: all wildlife other than birds, such as mammals, amphibians, reptiles, butterflies, etc.
  3. Landscape: a sense of place, with or without people
  4. Flora: trees, flowers, plants
  5. Photographer’s Choice: subjects that do not fit the other categories, including abstracts and people enjoying the park. Please note -- If you choose to include people in your submission, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals depicted and must be able to provide copies of those releases upon request.

Sponsor reserves the right to reject any additional entries or entries that do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering, you indicate your unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding. You cannot win a prize unless you comply with all requirements in these Official Rules. Entrants may be asked to supplement their submission with more explanation about the photo or to provide a higher resolution version of the photo anytime during the contest period.
